Apple Orange Ginger Juice
8 May
A goodness-filled glass of fruit juice to start the day. Apple orange ginger juice can be made using the method described in this post, even if you do not have a juicer to do the legwork for you.
You Need:
- Apple – 1
- Orange – 1
- Ginger – 1/2 inch stick
- Ice cubes – 4 (adjust to preference)
How To Make Apple Orange Ginger Juice:
Quarter and core the apple. Peel the orange. Scrape the ginger. Place the apple, orange and ginger in a blender. Blend well together. Give the blender a final spin with ice cubes.
After the ingredients have formed a homogeneous fruity pulp, sieved it all through a wide strainer. Pressed the pulp down with a ladle to extract the maximum juice, adding a bit of water to the residue to get a second extract.
Freshly extracted apple orange ginger juice, ready to be relished:
Notes:
Juicing isn’t impossible without a juicer. It does get more convenient with a juicer, though. Invest in the apparatus if you want to have juices more regularly, I’d say – and then look up this 7-day juicing plan.
Also try other cold drinks that are not juice-based:
- Sattu jaljeera: savory high protein drink
- Banana peanut smoothie
- Buttermilk with curry leaves, ginger and mint
- Salted lassi
